A special rally to highlight the importance of enrolling all children, in the age group six to 14, in schools was taken out in Pudukottai town on Thursday.
The rally was organised as part of the special enrolment campaign being conducted in various parts of the State under the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. Over 500 students took part.
Collector A. Suganthi flagged off the rally from the Public Office complex and also marched along with the students. The rally wound its way along the Anna Statue,, Keezha Raja Veedhi and Brindavan to culminate at the Town hall.
T. Hariharan, Chief Educational Officer, V. Rukmani, Additional Chief Educational Officer, SSA (in-charge), and other officials participated.
