District Collector Jayashree Muralidharan on Wednesday launched the e-governance project in the Tiruchi West Taluk.

Residents in the taluk need not visit government offices to get essential certificates from the Revenue Department. They could instead apply and get the same through the Hope Centres being run by the Tiruchi Corporation.

Applicants can get community, income, nativity, first-generation graduate, and widow certificates from the Hope Centres. Applications, along with necessary supporting documents, can be submitted on all working days and till 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The certificates would be issued at the centres where the applications have been registered.

Ms.Muralidharan said that the project was successfully implemented in Srirangam, and so far over 16,700 certificates have been issued.
