A special discount will be offered on purchase of gold coins at head post offices and all major post offices in the central region on May 13, 14 and 15. A discount of 7.5 per cent on gold coins would be offered by India Post in collaboration with Reliance Money Infrastructure Limited, according to a release issued by the Postmaster General, central region, Tamil Nadu. The offer is available on the specified days on occasion of ‘Akshaya Tritiya’ and ‘Pushya Tritiya’, the release said. 24 carat gold coins will be available in denominations of 0.5 gram, one, two, five, eight, 20 and 50 grams.
