Diploma course in cerebral palsy

The Spastics Society of Tiruchi, engaged in rendering rehabilitation services for children affected with cerebral palsy, has started a special education course in cerebral palsy. The two year diploma course in Special Education (Cerebral Palsy), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India, seeks to meet the need for qualified special educators for the differently abled. The course would have an in-take of 25 and the minimum qualification for admission is Plus Two with 50 per cent marks.

Hostel is available for girl students. Applications can be had from the office of the Spastics Society of Tiruchi, No.5, Revival Nagar, Ramalinga Nagar South Extension, Vayalur Road, Tiruchi-17, according to press release from C.Shanthakumar, director of society. Summer camp for students

The Anna Science Centre Planetarium will host a three-day summer camp for students of standards VII to IX from Tuesday.

The camp would cover various aspects of physics, environment, astronomy, mathematics, origami and yoga besides practical science demonstrations. The camp would commence at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
