Death of two girls: CPI demands CB-CID probe

The Communist Party of India, Vaiyampatti union committee has demanded a Crime Branch CID probe into the death of two class X girls whose bodies were found close to the railway track near Vaiyampatti recently.

Seeking the transfer of the case to the CB-CID and demanding the arrest of those behind the death, CPI members staged a protest demonstration at Vaiyampatti town on Friday. The two-hour long demonstration was led by the CPI Vaiyampatti union secretary A.T. Shanmuganathan and the party’s rural district secretary P. Ganesan among others. The two girls who studied in Arignar Anna Government Higher Secondary School at R.S. Vaiyampatti left home on August 2 and did not return.

They were found dead close to the railway track near Vaiyampatti the next morning causing shock among the locals.

The Government Railway Police booked a case and launched investigation by conducting inquiries with some boys of the same school and the headmaster.
