Dalmia Cements bags Green Award

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Dalmiapuram, has bagged Green Award-2016 from Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board for the second time.

The industry is the only cement plant and one among the three organisations in the State to be bestowed with the honour.

Thirty three organizations were short-listed, based on scrutiny of questionnaires from several participating units, this year.

R. A. Krishnakumar, Executive Director received the award from Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami during a function held at the Secretariat last week.

Dalmia Cements had also bagged the Energy Award from the Confederation of Indian Industry. The other awards include 5S Awards from Japanese agency ABK AOTS, Quality Circle Forum of India and Confederation of Indian Industry and 5 Star Award for Mines from Indian Bureau of Mines.
