Dak, Pension Adalats on June 28

The Department of Posts will conduct regional-level Dak Adalat and Pension Adalat here on June 28. Both adalats will be held at the Head Post Office complex in Tiruchi.

Only those cases which had been taken up with divisions or units and where the complainant or pensioner is not satisfied with the response from the divisional level could be brought to both adalats. No fresh cases would be entertained.

For Dak Adalat, the complaint should contain full details such as date and time of posting, full address of the sender and addressee, registration receipt number with date and office of booking for MO/ VP/ registered or insured / speed post articles.

If the complaint is about savings schemes or postal life insurance, it should contain the details of the recovery, account number, name and full address of the depositor/insurant, name of the post office and any reference of the Postal Department, if available.

With regard to Pension Adalat, the grievances towards delay / non-settlement of pension benefits in respect of officials retired from the Department of Posts, grievances pertaining to pension and family pension through post offices in respect of retired officials of other departments such as Railway and Telecom will alone be entertained. Grievances for Pension Adalat / Dak Adalat should be sent only through ordinary post / registered post / speed post. Grievances sent through private couriers will not be accepted.

Grievances with regard to Dak Adalat should be addressed to M.S. Balasubramanian, Assistant Director (INV), Office of the Postmaster General, Central Region, Tiruchi – 620 001, while grievances pertaining to Pension Adalat should be addressed to N.M. Nehru, Senior Accounts Officer, Office of the Postmaster General, Central region, Tiruchi.

The covers should be clearly super scribed as Pension Adalat / Dak Adalat – June 2013, a press release from Bahadur Singh, Postmaster General, Central Region (Tamil Nadu), Tiruchi, said. The last date of receipt of grievances is June 20.
