Even as law-enforcers have begun to receive applications well ahead of the festival seeking temporary licence for sale of crackers, the city police identified nine temporary spots.

The spots identified by the police and spread under the city limits fall under the jurisdiction of nine police stations here. This has been done keeping in mind the safety of public and as a precautionary measure.

The city police authorities have already issued a circular to the field-level police officers informing them about the chosen temporary spots for sale.
