CPI-affiliated body condemns attack on Dalits

Members of the Tamil Nadu Odukkapattor Vaazhvurimai Iyakkam, affiliated to Communist Party of India, observed a day-long fast here on Wednesday condemning the recent attacks on Dalits at Natham colony, Anna Nagar, and Kondampatti in Dharmapuri district.

The fast observed near Khadi Craft was led by the CPI district treasurer Ayilai Sivasuriyan. The protestors demanded constitution of a committee headed by a HC Judge to conduct enquiry into the attacks and compensation for the affected .
