Community intervention programme on mental health

Athma Education and Research Foundation is organising a week-long community intervention programme on mental health in connection with Mental Health Week 2012.

According to a release from K. Ramakrishnan, chairman and managing trustee of the foundation, several programmes would be conducted in various schools in Tiruchi and suburbs from September 24 to October 1.

The themes of the programmes include “mental health and de-addiction- cum - rehabilitation”, “relationship between teachers and students”, “effective communication”, “personality development”, “healthy relationship between parents and children” , “sensitisation programme on school mental health”, “life skill education’, “substance abuse”, “mental illness myths, misconception and management””, “ psychosocial care for children in difficult circumstances” and “positive coating skills”.
