Collector inspects house sites for Narikoravas

The District Collector T.Abraham inspected various places in Jayankondam for providing house sites to Narikkoravas.

The Collector inspected the site near Senniappara Temple and directed the officials to take steps for removing all encroachments. Steps should also be taken for the providing house site pattas to members of the Irula tribal community, he said.

The Collector inspected the works on the laying of Iravankudi –Vettiyarvettu road on an outlay of Rs. 65.55 lakh under the scheme of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and instructed the officials to complete the works in time.

Following complaint from the people that people of some particular panchayats alone were being considered for job in the execution of the projects under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Mr. Abraham went through all the records and directed the officials to initiate action against Jothi, a makkal nala paniyalar.

Jobs should be given to all those who have been provided with the identification cards in the implementation of works under the above scheme and warned officials with stringent action on any violation.
