Collector K. Rajamani on Sunday flagged off the rally on the importance of organ donation.

It was organised by K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College cum Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital.

Before flagging off the rally, Mr. Rajamani inked his signature on the organ donation board. He said that though the graph of blood donation had gone up to a great extent, there was not much awareness on organ donation. People should come forward to donate organs and the message should reach every nook and corner of the country. A number of people, who inked their signatures during the campaign, took a pledge to spread awareness on organ donation.

Dean of K. A. P. Viswanatham Government Medical College Anitha and several doctors took part in the rally.
