Under the auspices of Nehru Memorial College at Puthanampatti, a short-term coaching for candidates appearing for competitive tests was inaugurated recently.

A.Sivapriya, Deputy Collector-designate, who successfully completed the Group-I examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, inaugurated the coaching programme and interacted with students.

She stressed on the need for developing positive attitude for achieving success in competitive tests. She advised the students to work hard with confidence and determination.

Pointing out that the civil services provided a right opportunity for the present-day youth to serve the country, she urged the students to read books, newspapers and update their knowledge with current affairs. K.Ramasami, principal of the college, said that the students would undergo training on various topics.
