The CB-CID is investigating the death of Tiruchi-based girl, whose body was found near railway track, Chief Minister Jayalaithaa told the Assembly on Wednesday.
Replying to Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) MLA M.H. Jawahirullah, who demanded a speedy action in the case, the Chief Minister said many people had seen the girl walking on the tracks. Her body was found on the tracks on August 14 near Rettaimadai.
“The two cases registered in connection with her death have been transferred to the CB-CID which is investigating whether she was killed in an accident or was subjected to violence or she committed suicide,” she said.
