Canara Bank reaches out to customers

With a view to sensitising masses to the importance of saving and to ensure financial inclusiveness , the Tiruchi Circle Office of Canara Bank is organising a road show.

Divided into teams, officials and personnel of the 181 branches in Tiruchi circle will organise a door-to-door campaign to motivate the residents in their respective service areas to open savings account and current accounts. Passbooks for newly-enrolled customers will be issued on Monday at the respective branches.

“We utilise the occasion to explain the bank’s various credit schemes such as housing loan, vehicle loan and credit for trade and commerce,” says S.Krishna Kumar, General Manager, Tiruchi Circle, who inaugurated the campaign at the Circle Office here on Saturday. The bank also extended certain concessions such as waiver in processing fee for loans .

G.Rajendran, deputy general manager, Tiruchi Circle, said that the road show would also focus on sanctioning loans to small and medium enterprises .
