BHEL dispatches first consignment

The first consignment of structurals, valves and other boiler components from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, of the current financial year for various power projects was flagged off by R.Rajamanohar, Executive Director, BHEL, Tiruchi, here on Wednesday.

The consignments totally weighing 200 tonnes were sent through eight vehicles, a BHEL press release said. They comprised components for Kothagudam (1 x 800 MW) Thermal Power Project and Manuguru 4x270 MW TPS Telangana; Darlipalli (2 x 800 MW) and NSPCL Rourkela, Odisha; Farakka Stage-III (1 x 500) MW, West Bengal; DBPL Baradarha (2 x 600MW), Chattisgarh, Kolaghat (210 MW), West Bengal and Kahalgaon site, Bihar.

Mr.Rajamanohar praised the Logistics Department’s efforts for speedy clearance, timely delivery to customers and reduction of the finished goods inventory.

He called for sustained efforts and improved performance in order to minimise stagnation of finished goods inventory. P.Manoharan, Additional General Manager, Logistics, handed over the dispatch documents to K.Somasekaran, Additional General Manager, Commercial (Fossil Boilers), BHEL, Tiruchi.
