Amid instances of cheating by fly-by-night finance firms, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Police has cautioned public against getting carried away by fancy schemes or promise of higher rate of interest for deposits.
To drive home this message, the Tiruchi EOW unit has embarked on a campaign in an effort to create awareness among the public on the need to remain vigilant and desist from investing in fraudulent finance firms. On the instruction of the ADGP, EOW, the wing has installed flex banners at vantage points in the city – Central bus stand, Chathram bus stand, Gandhi market and Palpannai roundabout, appealing to the public not to get invest in such firms.
In addition to this, police officials also distributed pamphlets containing a host of precautions to be taken before making an investment.
