Bee attack on Tirumavalavan

Thol. Tirumavalavan, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader and candidate for Chidambaram (reserved) constituency, and 22 of his supporters were stung by honey bees at a private coconut grove at Venganur near Tirumanur on Tuesday.

Mr. Tirumavalavan and his party men who were on a campaign trail in Tirumanur area were having their lunch in the coconut grove when they were stung by the bees. 11 of them were treated at the Venganur Primary Health Centre. Mr. Tirumavalavan continued his campaign. Two men Senguttuvan and Kaliaperumal were referred to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital.
