Annual drama festival from July 2

South Indian Cultural Centre, Thanjavur, and Tiruchi District Nataka Nadigargal Sangam would organise third annual drama festival at the FGN hall of Rasika Ranjana Sabha in the city from July 2 to 9.

A total of 14 dramas would be staged , according to M. S. Mohamed Masthan, general secretary of Tiruchi District Nataka Nadigargal Sangam.

Tiruchi Kavitha Creations would present the drama ‘Pudu Kathal’ directed by P. Velusamy on the inaugural day on July 2. ‘Inraiya Special’ drama presented by Tiruchi Golden Brothers Cultural Troupe would be staged the next day, followed by ‘Thanthai Oru Sumaiya’ presented by Kuthalam Tamizhannai Kalai Manram the third day.

Mohanur Kadiravan Kalai Manram would present the play ‘Ini Pirivillai’ directed by Vanathi Kathir on July 4 and Jedarpalaiyam Tamil Annai Kalai Manram would present ‘Arthanari’ directed by J. K. Asokan on July 5. Vedaranyam Tamil Panpattu Kalaignargal Sangam would present ‘Verinaipatra Vizhuthugal’ , and Tiruchi BHEL Annai Kalaikuzhu would present ‘Thideer Uravu’ both on July 5.

Two dramas-‘Uravugal Unarvugal’ presented by R. R. Creators , and ‘Petravan’ by Tiruchi Navarasam Nataka Manram – would be staged on July 6, and ‘Saathigal Irukkuthadi Pappa by Puduvai Kanmani Creations , and ‘Boothathin Naarkali’ by Kala Priyadarshini Kalai kuzhu and directed by P. Karikalan on July 7.

‘Kurukku Vazhiyil’ by Chennai Drama House Kalai kuzhu would stage the play ‘Kurukku Vazhiyil Traffic Jam’ directed by Vivek Rajagopal on the penultimate day. The festival would conclude with two dramas – ‘Moola Nakshathiram’ by Kovai Chamber of Commerce and directed by Mithra Mani, and ‘Pinvarum Puyalukku’ by Nasreen Nataka Kala Manram and directed by A. Shahul Hameed.
