To condemn DMK for failing to allow lawyers to present cases in Tamil

Members of the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) staged a demonstration here on Monday condemning the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government for failing to address the demand for allowing lawyers to present their cases in Tamil in the Madras High Court.

Led by former Minister

Organised by the party's urban district lawyers' wing, students' wing and urban district unit, the demonstration held near the Combined Court complex was headed by the AIADMK former Minister and MGR Mandram secretary D. Jayakumar.


The party's urban district secretary, R. Manoharan, AIADMK Srirangam assembly constituency MLA M. Paranjothi, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam urban district secretary A. Malarmannan, Communist Party of India city secretary K. Suresh, MDMK State students' wing secretary T. Gangaiselvan and functionaries of MDMK, CPI and Forward Bloc participated in the protest.

Government blamed

While condemning the DMK government, the demonstrators urged the Central government to implement the demand.
