Cadres of the Aam Admi party staged a demonstration in front of the railway station in Thanjavur condemning the Central government for its alleged ‘failure’ to contain price rise. They also raised slogans against the Centre for acting as 'corporate stooges.' They demanded removal of service tax for rice and also appealed to people to join the party to weed out corruption.A. Venkateswaran, district convenor of the party, Chandrasekaran, district secretary, took part in the agitation.

Cadres of the Aam Aadmi Party staged a demonstration in front of the Taluk Office here on Saturday protesting the collusion between Congress and the BJP in scuttling the Jan Lok Pal Bill and the AAP government in Delhi.

The protestors also slammed the Congress for the ``unreasonable price hike’’ of all essentials.
