The district administration will provide more facilities to children who lost their parents during the tsunami in 2004 and accommodated at Annai Sathya Home here, said Collector S. Palanisamy.

Addressing the children after celebrating ‘Pongal’ at the Home on Friday, the Collector said the district administration had ensured education for the children.

He assured the children that the more basic amenities would be provided at the Home.

He asked them to feel free and approach the officials for any assistance.

K. Gopal, MP, distributed sweets to the children. C. Kannan, Revenue Divisional Officer, Roslin Joys Grace, Project Director, District Child Protection Unit, participated.
