Vice-Chancellor K.Meena releases SUITS training manual

For the third consecutive year, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD), Bharathidasan University, imparted a two-day training to 73 teachers from 31 schools across Tamil Nadu to implement SUITS (School University Industry Tie-Ups Scheme). Certificate courses including Computer Basics, Office Automation, and Programming Techniques in C and C++ are conducted under the scheme.

At the inaugural session, Vice-Chancellor K. Meena released the SUITS training manual and informed that undergraduate teachers implementing SUITS in 100 selected schools in the State were eligible to join the 10-month PGDCA course to be launched by the IECD from August 2011. She informed that in view of demand the IECD plans to implement the programme in other States and abroad as well. Currently, 25,000 school students were enrolled in the programme.

Director of IECD K. Parthasarathy said the school faculties were familiarised with the requirements under SUITS through training.
