As many as 502 candidates have secured admission to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi, for various postgraduate programmes for the current academic year.

Kulkarni Sujata Surendra, who was the first candidate to be admitted for the year, secured admission to her course of first choice – M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

The graduate from Pune Vidyarthi College of Engineering and Technology has a GATE score of 789 with an all-India rank of 274.

The total number of seats in NIT-T is 524.

The Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, is coordinating the admission for NIT-T. N.Anantharaman, chairman, PG Admission Committee, NIT-T, said that 310 candidates have so far reported to the institute.

The fourth round of allotment would take place on July 12 and the allottees have to report for admission from July 15 to 18.
