426 candidates appear for jobs in Army

Several candidates turned up on Friday for the Army recruitment rally for the post of Havildar Education in the Army Education Corps here on Friday.

A total number of 426 candidates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Andaman appeared for the rally which featured fitness test and checking of physical measurements.

As part of the fitness test was a 1.6-kilometre run, chin ups, crossing a nine-foot ditch and zig zag balance. The height, weight and chest size of every candidate was checked during the day-long rally held at the Kallukuzhi railway stadium.
