Devimangalam recorded the maximum rainfall of 32 mm during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 a.m. on Thursday.

The following is the chief amount of rainfall recorded in other parts of the district during the same period (in mm): Musiri 30, Marungapuri 15.20, Thuvakudi 11, Pullampadi 8.60, Vathalai Anicut 8, Navalurkuttapattu 7.30, Chirukudi 7, Manapparai 6.60 and Ponnaniyar Dam 5.80.

The district received an average of 6 mm of rainfall during the period.
