202 Home Guards recruits pass

A total number of 202 Home Guards recruits of Tiruchi district successfully passed out on Saturday on completion of training.

A passing-out parade was held at the Armed Reserve ground at Subramaniapuram here in which K. Muthukaruppan, Director General of Police, Civil Defence and Home Guards, took the salute. Twenty-nine of the 202 Home Guards recruits were women.

All of them underwent 45-day training at five sub-divisions on various aspects such as squad drill, arms drill, first aid, and fire fighting.

M. Ramasubramani, Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Commissioner of Police, A. Amalraj, DIG, Tiruchi Range, S. Rajeswari, Superintendent of Police, and AL. Sirajudeen, Home Guards, Area Commander, Tiruchi district, were present.
