‘1.20 lakh passports issued so far by Thanjavur PSK’

Grievances day meet held in Tiruchi every Tuesday

Passport Seva Kendra in Thanjavur (PSK), which was established in June 2011, has so far issued 1.20 lakh passports, said K.Balamurugan, Regional Passport Officer, Tiruchi, here on Thursday. He told presspersons that every month 1,000 applications are processed at the Kendra, and every day 450 to 500 applications are processed. The Kendra has been catering to the needs of five districts.

He said online registration is done by differently abled persons on the ground floor of the Kendra at Rs.50 per application.

Grievances day meeting is held in Tiruchi every Tuesday. People could get their grievances like non-clearance of their application and delay in getting passports redressed. Mr. Balamurugan said that people could contact Tiruchi passport office on 0431-2706622 for any assistance and clarification.
