The second Pension Adalat for 2012 was conducted by Tiruchi Railway Division here on Monday.

The grievances of railway pensioners regarding fixation of their pension, difference in arrears payment, issue of revised Pension Payment Orders, payment of medical allowances and claims related to family pensions were dealt at the Adalat.

Altogether 100 representations were received and all were settled amicably in the Adalat. Around 300 pensioners/family pensioners attended. Manjula Rangarajan, Divisional Railway Manager, distributed the revised pension orders and settlement dues to the pensioners.

As per Railway Board’s directive, Pension Adalats are conducted at the divisional level twice a year. The next pension adalat of the division is scheduled to be held in July 2013 and notification will be issued in May 2013. Pensioners of Tiruchi Division could represent their grievances to the Divisional Personnel Officer after the issue of notification, a Southern Railway press release here said.
