Youth stabbed to death in Thiruvananthapuram

A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death, allegedly after an argument over a missing mobile phone, at Kallara late on Thursday.

A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death, allegedly after an argument over a missing mobile phone, at Kallara late on Thursday.

Cousin in custody

The police said Vishnu Shankar of Palottukonam was stabbed by his cousin Sajikumar, 35, after an argument over Sajikumar’s phone, priced Rs.3,500, that had gone missing when the two had gone together to a party near Kadakkal on Wednesday. Sajikumar suspected Vishnu to have stolen the mobile. At 8 p.m. on Thursday, he reached Vishnu’s house where an argument culminated in Sajikumar allegedly stabbing his cousin to death.

Sajikumar, who fled the scene, is in police custody.
