Woman robbed of gold chain in Thiruvananthapuram

This is the fourth such incident since Wednesday. Three chain-snatchings were reported from Venjarammoodu, Pirappincode and Thiruvallam.

The spate of chain-snatching incidents in the capital city continued for the second day on Thursday when a gang snatched a 10-sovereign gold chain of a woman near Muttathara.

According to the Fort police, Anu, 33, of Vanchiyoor, was on her way from Muttathara to a bank on her two-wheeler when two men on a bike snatched her chain and escaped on on their bike.

The police have registered a case and are conducting investigations.

Fourth incident This is the fourth such incident since Wednesday. Three chain-snatchings were reported from Venjarammoodu, Pirappincode and Thiruvallam.

The police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the incidents.

It is suspected that the same gang could be behind all the incidents.
