Woman killed as bus rams two-wheeler

A 34-year-old woman who was riding pillion on her husband's motorcycle was killed when a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus rammed the two-wheeler on the Thycaud flyover on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sindhu, a resident of Meleputhenveedu, Olippunada, Veniyoorkonam, Pravachambalam. According to the police, the accident took place around 8.30 p.m. when Sindhu, an employee of a textile showroom here, along with her husband Sunilkumar, was returning home. The accident took place when the KSRTC bus tried to overtake the two-wheeler. Sindhu died on the way to the Government Medical College Hospital. Sunilkumar has been admitted to the casualty wing of the hospital. The body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem on Tuesday.
