Kadakampally seeks collective efforts

Minister for Power Kadakampally Surendran has called for collective efforts to overcome the hassles in the production and distribution sectors of the Kerala State Electricity Board.

Addressing a meeting at the board headquarters here to felicitate him on Tuesday, Mr.Surendran said the board should tap all potential sources for increasing power production. Work on projects that had been limping should be completed soon.

Steps should be taken to contain transmission loss. He sought the cooperation of officials at different tiers for addressing the crisis.

Mr.Surendran then released the signature song of the KSEB, Puthiya vanam, puthya bhumi…’ written by Rafeq Ahammed, composed by M.Jayachandran, and sung by Vijay Jesudas.

He also launched a new website which offers a slew of online services to the customer. Chairman and managing director Paul Antony presided. Director (Finance) N.S. Pillai welcomed and officer in charge of public relations Ram Mahesh proposed the vote of thanks. — Special Correspondent
