Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL), the State government agency overseeing matters connected with the setting up of a container transhipment port at Vizhinjam, has extended from February 25 to March 10 the last date for receiving requests for qualification (RFQ) from private players interested in developing the port with State participation.

The VISL has also extended from February 25 to June 30 the last date for receiving the RFQ for taking up the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for building the breakwater and associated berths at the proposed port.

This is the fourth time the dates are being extended.
