Caught in a controversy: A view of the Vizhinjam port. Special Arrangement

The Vizhijam international seaport will harm the State more than benefit it, Prof. B. Vivekanandan has said.

Addressing a seminar here on Saturday, Prof. Vivekanandan, former chairman of the Centre for American and West European Studies, JNU, said the project would end up as a major gain for private vested interests. Prof. Vivekanandan said the ecological impact of the project had not been properly investigated.
