Art forms of Adivasis would be introduced in the competition section in the next school youth festival, Minister for Education P. K. Abdu Rabb said on Tuesday.

The Minister was intervening in the question hour when Minister for Scheduled Tribes P. K. Jayalakshmi was giving reply to a question in the House.

Ms. Jayalakshmi said the government is to take a decision soon on giving grace marks to Plus Two students from SC community based on the grade obtained in the State youth festival.

Land to the tune of five acres was needed for setting up a solar park that can generate 1 MW. Minister for Agriculture K. P. Mohanan informed the House, in reply to a question, that 48 farmers had committed suicide during the past four years in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannnur and Kasaragod after they were not able to repay the loan taken from banks.
