Trains to be regulated

Trains will be regulated from April 17 because of the maintenance works being taken up near Nagercoil and between Thiruvalla and Chengannur.

Line blocks are being imposed near Nagercoil and steel girders of railway bridges are being replaced for subway work between Thiruvalla and Chengannur.

The work for the removal of temporary girders will be taken up in the Eraniel–Nagercoil section between 10.35 p.m. on April 17 and 4.35 a.m. on April 18. Consequently, train services will be partially cancelled or rescheduled. Train 16605 Mangaluru–Nagercoil Eranad Express of April 17 will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Nagercoil Junction, according to the Railways.

Train 16606 Nagercoil-Mangaluru Eranad Express of April 18 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram Central. Train 16650 Nagercoil–Mangaluru Parasuram Express of April 18 will leave from Nagercoil delayed by 15 minutes.

Train 16382 Kanyakumari–Mumbai CST Express, 12081 Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram Janshatabdi Express, 12626 New Delhi-Thiruvananthpuram Kerala Express, and 12625 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express will be diverted via Alappuzha on April 19. These trains will have stops at Eranakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha and Haripad.

On April 19, 17230 Hyderabad-Kochuveli Sabari Express will be detained for 45 minutes at Thiruvalla station, 16649 Mangalaru-Nagercoil Express will be detained for 35 minutes at Changanassery and 16525 Kanyakumari-Bengaluru Express will be detained for 45 minutes at Chengannur.
