Trains to be regulate for subway work

The Railways have cancelled, partially cancelled, and rescheduled several trains on October 22 and 23 to take up major engineering works in connection with the construction of a subway near the Edappally railway station.

The 56370 Ernakulam-Guruvayur Passenger, 56375 Guruvayur-Ernakulam Passenger, 56373 Guruvayur- Thrissur Passenger, and 56374 Thrissur-Guruvayur Passenger will not run on October 22 and 23. The 56607/ 56608 passenger trains between Ernakulam and Shoranur will not run on October 23.

The 16301/16302 Shoranur- Thiruvananthapuram- Shoranur Venad Express will be partially cancelled between Shoranur and Ernakulam Junction. However, through passengers will be connected by the 12512 Thiruvananthapuram- Gorakhpur Rapthi Sagar Express and the 16326 Thiruvananthapuram-Indore Ahalya Nagari Express on these days.

Additional stops will be provided for these trains at the Ernakulam North and Divine Nagar stations. From Shoranur, the 16605 Mangalore- Nagercoil Ernad Express will start at 2.20 p.m. (as per the timings and halts of Venad Express).

Rescheduled trains

The 16307 Alappuzha- Kannur Express scheduled to leave Alappuzha at 3 p.m. will leave at 4.40 p.m. on October 23. The 16313 Ernakulam-Kannur Express scheduled to leave Ernakulam at 4.20 p.m. is rescheduled to leave at 7 p.m. on October 22.

The following trains are likely to be delayed by 15 minutes to two hours on October 22: 16326 Thiruvananthapuram- Indore Ahalyanagari Express, 12617 Ernakulam- Nizamudhin Mangala Express, 16650 Thiruvananthapuram- Mangalore Parasuram Express, 17229 Thiruvananthapuram- Hyderabad Sabari Express; 12217 Kochuveli- Chandigarh Express, 16382 Kanyakumari- Mumbai CST express, 16346 Thiruvananthapuram- Lokmanya Tilak Kurla Express, 12625 Thiruvananthapuram- New Delhi Kerala Express, 16042 Alleppey- Chennai Express, 56608 Ernakulam- Shoranur Passenger, 16314 Kannur- Ernakulam Express, 12618 Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Express, 12511 Gorakhpur- Thiruvananthapuram Raptisagar Express, 16649 Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Parasuram Express, 17230 Hyderabad- Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express, 16345 Lokmanya Tilak- Thiruvananthapuram Kurla Express, 16605 Mangalore- Nagercoil Ernad Express, 12677 Bangalore-Ernakulam Express, 12075 Kozhikode- Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express, and the 16310 Patna- Ernakulam Express.
