Traffic to be diverted today

The city police will enforce traffic regulations on Mahatma Gandhi Road from 6 a.m. on Thursday in view of the Secretariat siege by the DYFI in protest against the government move to increase the retirement age of employees.

Vehicles from PMG junction and Museum to East Fort and Thampanoor will have to go via Panjappura junction, over the flyover, Panavila, and Model School junction. Vehicles from Vellayambalam to East Fort will have go via Vazhuthacaud, Xanadu junction, Panavila, and Thampanoor. Vehicles from East Fort towards Pettah will have to move via Ayurveda College, Uppidamoodu bridge, Vanchiyoor, General Hospital junction, and Pattoor, or via Thampanoor, Panavila, Panjappura junction, the underpass, and Asan Square.

Vehicles from East Fort to Vellayambalam and towards PMG will have to take the Thampanoor, Panavila, flyover, and Panjappura route.
