The police have banned traffic from 3 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. from Kowdiar to East Fort on the arterial M.G. Road to facilitate the pageantry to be held in connection with the concluding day of the State Tourism Department’s Onam Week celebrations on September 3.
In a press release here, the police said vehicles proceeding from Peroorkada to Thampanoor will have to take the Peroorkada-Oolampara-Sasthamangalam-Edapazhanji-SMC-Vazhuthacaud-Mettukkada-Thampanoor Flyover route.
Vehicles proceeding from East Fort to Peroorkada will have to take the Attakulangara-Killipalam-
Karamana -Jagathy- Edapazhanji- Sasthamangalam- Pippinmoodu- Oolampara route. Vehicles from East Fort to Vatiyurkavu will have to take the Attakulangara- Killipalam- Karamana-Jagathy- Edapazhanji- Sasthamangalam route.
Vehicles proceeding from East Fort to Pattom will have to take the Vettimuricha Kotta- Vazhapally-Mitranandapuram- S.P. Fort Hospital- Kaithamukku- Uppidamoodu- Vanchiyoor- Pattoor - Pettah- Kannamoola- Kumarapuram- Murinjapalam- Pottakuzhy route.
Vehicles proceeding from M.C. Road to Thampanoor will have to take the Mannanthala- Kudappanakunnu- Peroorkada- Oolampara - Sasthamangalam- Edapazhanji- SMC- Vazhuthacaud- Mettukkada- Thampanoor Flyover route.
Vehicles headed to Thampanoor from Attingal should take the Ulloor- Medical College- Kumarapuram- Kannamoola- Nalumukku- General Hospital Junction- Asan Square- Underpass- Bakery Flyover-Panavila route.
Vehicles headed to East Fort from Attingal should take the Kazhakuttom-Chakka-Eenchakkal route.
Vehicles bound for Thampanoor from Pettah should take the General Hospital-AKG Centre-Asan Square-Under Pass-Bakery Flyover-Panavila route.
Long-distance buses headed to Attingal through the National Highway should take the Thampanoor-Model School Junction-Panavila-Bakery Flyover-Underpass-Asan Square-PMG-Pattom-Medical College route.
Vehicles headed from Thampanoor to Kesavadasapuram should take the Panavila-Bakery Flyover-Underpass-Asan Square-PMG-Pattom route.
Vehicles to Thiruvallam from Thampanoor should take the Thampanoor Flyover-Killipalam-Attakulangara-Manacaud-Ambalathara route. Vehicles headed in the direction of Pappanamcode from Thampanoor should take the Thampanoor Flyover-Killipalam-Karamana route.
