Three students drown in Kozhikode

They drowned in a water-filled paddy field near the Thayyil temple at Onchiyam in Vadakara.

Three primary school students of a local school drowned in a water-filled paddy field near the Thayyil temple at Onchiyam in Vadakara, Kozhikode district, on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mohammed Ajmal, 11, Mohammed Rizwan, 8, and Asnav Shafil, 9.

The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. The children had gone to play in the paddy fields.

The bodies were shifted to the Vadakara Government Hospital, police said.
