Revenue District School Arts Festival draws to a close

The four-day Revenue District School Arts Festival concluded at Attingal on Friday.

Thiruvananthapuram North sub-district bagged the overall trophy in the general category (Upper Primary, High School, Higher Secondary School), scoring 769 points. Thiruvananthapuram South and Kaniyapuram sub-districts bagged the second and third positions in the category, scoring 752 and 750 points, respectively.

In the Upper Primary and High School (Arabic and Sanskrit) category, the Kaniyapuram sub-district bagged the overall trophy scoring 1,051 points. Thiruvananthapuram South and North bagged the second and third positions by scoring 1011 and 975 points, respectively.

Writer George Onakkoor gave away prizes to individual winners at the valedictory function held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School. A. Sampath, MP, attended the function.

Nearly 9,500 students from 12 educational sub-districts competed in more than 286 events in seven categories in the fete.
