<i>The Hindu</i> registers impressive growth in Kerala

The Hindu ’s readership has recorded an impressive growth of 11.7 per cent in Kerala in IRS 2012 Q3 over the corresponding quarter in 2011, according to the latest release of the Indian Readership Survey. The newspaper’s current readership in the State is 3,64,000, which makes it the market leader among all the English dailies. Significantly, The Hindu has shown a growth of 8.7 per cent over the previous quarter.

The Hindu gained 89,000 readers. This represents a growth of 4.1 per cent in national readership as compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The publication’s current Average Issue Readership (AIR) is 22.58 lakh. Once again, The Hindu retains its position as the most-read English daily in South India and the third largest English newspaper nationally.
