The SSLC results portal registered a huge number of hits on Monday, the IT@School Project, which owns it, said.

As many as 46.56-lakh hits were registered in the first two-and-a-half hours after the results were announced, its statement said. Nearly 18.17-lakh people visited the result pages during those hours. The frequency of the hits reached a peak of 1,497 a second. The average rate was 700 hits a second.

IT@School had introduced the Content Delivery Network System for the portal to avoid network jam and to enable faster access.

The results of the higher secondary examinations will be available on the same portal.
