Special police team formed to trace Latvian woman

State Police Chief Loknath Behera announced a reward of ₹2 lakh to anyone who provides information about the missing Latvian woman, Liga Skromane (File)

The Inspector General of Police, Thiruvananthapuram Range, will head the special team formed to investigate the disappearance of Liga Skromane, a citizen of Latvia, who was in the State for Ayurveda therapy.

State Police Chief Loknath Behera announced a reward of ₹2 lakh to anyone who provides information about her. The identity of the informant would be kept secret.

Lookout notice

The police have also sought the help of the Coast Guard, the Fisheries Department, and the Marine Enforcement wing to trace Ms. Skromane who was last seen near Kovalam. They have also issued a lookout notice for her to all air and seaports and the country’s borders. The Interpol would be alerted.
