An ASHA volunteer associated with the Health Department was arrested on Friday by the Neyyattinkara police on the charge of sexually harassing a minor girl.
According to the police, Prakash, 40, was arrested after the police received a complaint on Thursday that he had harassed a minor girl in her house when he went there as part of the Health Department’s vector-control activities.
He was produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
