Seven police officers bag President’s medal

Seven police officers from the State have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

They are P. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Public Grievances, Police Headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram; V.M. Muhammad Rafique, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic, West Kochi; V. Vijayan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narcotic Cell, Idukki; M.J. Mathew, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narcotic Cell, Kottayam; R. Sukesan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Southern Range, Thiruvananthapuram; C.K. Chandran, Sub Inspector, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Southern Range, Thiruvananthapuram; and K. Surendran, Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Valanchery Police Station, Malappuram.

Two officers from the jail department have been awarded the President’s Correction Service Medal for Meritorious Service. They are C.K. Baburajan, Assistant Jailor Grade-I, Special Sub Jail, Thalassery, Kannur; and K.J. Thomas and Assistant Jailor Grade-I, Central Prison, Viyyur, Thrissur.
