School gets two e-toilets

Two e-toilets set up at Government Higher Secondary School, Kappil, Varkala, as part of the district panchayat’s toilet project in schools were inaugurated by district panchyat president V.K. Madhu.

The toilets were set up by Metal Industries, a State government institution, with the support of Eram Scientific Solutions, e-toilet manufacturers. One of the toilets is a She-toilet that comes equipped with a sanitary napkin dispenser and an incinerator for used napkins.

Features

The toilets have auto flush, automatic floor wash, a sensor-based water and electricity regulatory mechanism, ceiling light, exhaust fan, overhead tank to ensure continuous water supply, health faucet, and a facility that indicates whether the toilet is in use.
