CPI(M) leader K. Varadarajan inaugurating a sit-in by All-India RMS and MMSEmployees Union on Tuesday

The All-India RMS and MMS Employees Union, owing allegiance to the National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE), launched a State-wide agitation to press their various demands.

The employees, who also include mail guards and multi-tasking staff belonging to group C, staged a sit-in in front of the RMS office here on Tuesday to mark the launch their agitation.

The sit-in was inaugurated by CPI(M) leader K. Varadarajan.

The RMS employees' demands include acceptance of their charter of demands, end to victimisation and establishment of L-One offices to speed up mail distribution.
