VS seeks investigation

May 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:54 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan has sought an investigation into the reported leak of Plus Two result.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, Mr. Achuthanandan cited reports that a private school at Vandanmedu in Idukki had received the results a day before Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb announced it.

The school in question was one in which the Minister had special interest. With this one action, the Education Minister and Education Department had cheated lakhs of students, he said.

The State was duty-bound to view this matter seriously. An inquiry shhould be ordered to bring out the truth, Mr. Achuthanandan said.
